Step-by-Step Manual Drain Procedure
- Power Off: Turn off the dishwasher at the circuit breaker to ensure safety during the draining process.
- Access Drain Area: Remove the lower dish rack to access the bottom of the dishwasher tub.
- Locate Drain Filter: Find the drain filter assembly at the bottom center of the dishwasher tub.
- Remove Standing Water: Use a cup or small container to remove any standing water from the bottom of the dishwasher.
- Clean Drain Filter: Twist and remove the drain filter assembly. Rinse it thoroughly under running water to remove food particles and debris.
- Check Drain Hose: Inspect the drain hose for kinks, clogs, or obstructions that may prevent proper drainage.
- Manual Drain Activation: For models with manual drain feature, follow specific instructions in your model's manual to activate the drain cycle.
- Reassemble: Replace the drain filter and ensure it's properly seated and locked in place.
