Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- New Whirlpool water filter
- Towel or shallow pan
- Clean cloth
- Drinking glass
Step-by-Step Installation
- Locate Filter Compartment: Find the water filter location in your refrigerator (base grille, top right interior, or ceiling).
- Prepare for Installation: Place a towel or shallow pan under the filter area to catch any water drips.
- Remove Old Filter: Turn the old filter counterclockwise until it releases. Pull straight out to remove.
- Prepare New Filter: Remove protective covers from O-rings on the new filter. Do not remove the O-rings.
- Insert New Filter: Align arrows on filter with arrows on filter head. Push filter in and turn clockwise until it stops.
- Flush System: Run 2-3 gallons of water through the dispenser to clear air and carbon fines from the system.
- Reset Filter Indicator: Press and hold the filter reset button for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light changes.

Troubleshooting
